He joined Commerce Title in 2001 as president of central region operations. His previous experience includes more than 20 years in the title industry with several national title insurance underwriters. Prior to his leadership roles at Commerce Title Company, Mr. Norton was president of the Texas operations for Fidelity National Title. 

He began his career at Stewart Title, where he rapidly progressed through the management training program to vice president of branch operations in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

Mr. Norton earned a B.B.A. from Hardin Simmons University, while enjoying a successful career in its baseball program. As an alum, the university invited him to serve on their Board of Young Associates. Mr. Norton is an active member in several committee positions of national & state title associations. He and his wife volunteer their time in many community charitable organizations, focusing on fundraising.
